DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 1: Dar es Salaam to Selous
Start your journey from the vibrant city of Dar es Salaam, heading south into the wild Selous Game Reserve. Upon arrival, enjoy an afternoon boat safari on the Rufiji River, witnessing hippos and crocodiles at close range.
Day 2-4: Selous Game Reserve
Immerse yourself in the vastness of Selous. Three full days of exploration including traditional game drives, walking safaris to track smaller species, and peaceful boat trips as the sun sets over the water.
Day 5-8: Ruaha National Park
Fly to Ruaha, Tanzania's best-kept secret. This rugged park is home to 10% of the world's lion population. Spend your days tracking large prides and enjoying the dramatic scenery of the Great Ruaha River.
Day 9-10: Mikumi & Return
Visit Mikumi, often compared to the Serengeti for its open horizons and abundant wildlife. Enjoy a final morning game drive before your return journey to Dar es Salaam for your flight home.
